New Cuba hurricane damage reports

Sad and shocking hurricane damage estimates are coming out. The Cuban government's calculation: some $5 billion, according to this report  (in Spanish).
To put that into perspective, the damage is almost 10 percent of Cuba's gross domestic product of about $45 billion.
It's true: It's as if a bomb has been dropped on the largest island of the Caribbean.
The Cuban Triangle , which has been providing even-handed and well-researched reports on the debate over sending aid to Cuba, has a good summary of the latest developments.
