Hugo Chavez won Sunday's referendum, so he can seek reelection in 2012 and stay in power as long as he keeps winning elections, according to this news report.
Cuba's lifeline remains intact. But that doesn't mean Cuba's problems - disenchanted youth, a ragged economy, inefficient state-run enterprises - are gone. The Castro brothers still have a tough road ahead.
