Cuban photographer Julio Larramendi showed a collection of his work Monday night at Flagler College in St. Augustine.
Ana Lourdes Soto, director of a Havana group called Heritage, Community and Environment, and Magda Resik, communication director for Havana's Office of the Historian, also gave presentations.
Soto and Resik talked about the renovation of buildings in Old Havana. After their presentations, a man in the audience asked why many buildings were in such bad shape in the first place. And he asked if the restoration work was going to extend throughout Havana.
The Cubans said city officials would like to repair as many buildings as possible, but finding money for such work is always a challenge.
The St. Augustine-Baracoa Friendship Association and Flagler College hosted the Cubans' visit.
