Castro death rumors yet again

Rumors that Fidel Castro has died swamped Twitter today. I asked a Cuban official about those rumors tonight and he said he had no opinion on the matter. He said:
Twitter lends itself to that. We don't have anything to say.
I haven't seen anything at all to substantiate the rumor.

Fidel Castro took power on Jan. 1, 1959. Sunday was the 53rd anniversary of his victory over then-President Fulgencio Batista.
Castro ruled Cuba for 47 years before falling ill in July 2006 and turning over power temporarily to his brother, Raul Castro.
Raul Castro was named president in February 2008 and his brother Fidel announced he was retiring.
Rumors of Castro's death surface regularly. At least one rumor was linked to a computer virus, the Miami Herald reported in August.
Castro was born in 1926 and is 85 years old. Some websites are trying to get a jump on his death, like this one, which sells t-shirts and coffee mugs proclaiming, "Castro is Dead."
Below are a few photos I've taken of Fidel Castro over the years, along with assorted odd links:
