Havana façades

I wonder if any balconies have collapsed while someone is on them.

I am sure some balconies have collapsed. Cuba probably leads the world in buildings collapsing due to a lack of maintenance.
A story my Cuban tia once told me illustrates a failure on the part of the revolution in this area. She lives in Marianao, a barrio nowhere near the tourist areas. The CDR handed out bags of cement to individuals whose houses needed repair. That was it, just a bag of cement.

Needless to say, almost everyone she knew sold their cement and used the money for their basic everyday needs.
